Sikelìa Frappato Rosato DOC Sicilia is a vibrant and elegant rosé made from 100% Frappato grapes, grown in the central-southern part of Sicily. The vines thrive in clay-calcareous soils at an altitude of 400 meters. Harvested by hand in early September to preserve the aromatic profile, the grapes undergo a careful process of cooling, maceration, and soft pressing. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine is aged on fine lees for a few months before bottling.
This rosé is a delicate pale pink in color, with fresh and complex aromas of fruity and floral notes, enhanced by a subtle mineral touch. On the palate, it is well-structured, with a perfect balance between alcohol, freshness, and savory qualities. The finish is long and consistent, echoing the aromatic notes from the nose. Ideal for pairing with seafood, pasta dishes like busiata with eggplant and swordfish, or fettuccine with porcini mushrooms. Serve at 12-14°C. Alcohol: 13% vol.
