From the sun-drenched hills of Butera in southern Sicily, this 100% Syrah showcases the essence of the region. Grown at 300–350 meters above sea level on clay-rich soils, these 15-year-old vines produce a vibrant and elegant wine.
Hand-harvested in the morning, the grapes undergo cold maceration and a 20-day fermentation with skin contact. Matured in second- and third-pass barrels for 6–8 months, the wine achieves complexity and balance.
Its ruby-red color with purplish hues hints at a captivating aroma of black pepper, cocoa, and subtle spices, true to Syrah's character. On the palate, it is warm, smooth, and mineral-driven, with gentle tannins and a pleasingly long finish.
Perfectly paired with grilled meats drizzled with fresh local olive oil, this Syrah is best enjoyed at 18°C.
